27 July 2010 - Bothal, near Morpeth, Northumberland.
This evening we walked to Bothal to take some photos for our Northumberland photo website. Some of the fields were being harvested, adding different colours to the ever changing farmland around Bothal.
The first photo below is a view of fields beside Bothal Woods being harvested. The second two photos are views taken along the path to Bothal Village through fields that had already been harvested.
The third photo is a view of Bothal Castle and the last two photos are views across the fields in the valley near Bothal Village.
2 July 2010 - Fawdon, near Ingram and Branton, Cheviot Hills, Northumberland.
More photos from our walk in the Cheviot Hills near Ingram. These views are from the area around Old Fawdon Hill and Fawdon.
The first three photos are views taken along the path from Prendwick to Fawdon near Old Fawdon Hill.
The fourth photo is a view of the ancient hill fort at the north end of Gibb's Hill near Fawdon.
The fifth photo is a view of the path near Fawdon followed by a view of a flock of sheep being expertly moved into a field at Fawdon. The last photo is a view from Fawdon towards Powburn.
02 July 2010 - Ingram, Cheviot Hills, Northumberland.
Today we were walking in the Cheviot Hills around Ingram. We followed a circular route from Ingram crossing Wether Hill and returning along the east side of Old Fawdon Hill and West Hill.
The first two photos below are views of Dunmoor Hill taken along the path from Ingram to Wether Hill. The third photo is from the top of Wether Hill which has great views in all directions.
The fourth photo is a view towards Ingram from the track over Wether Hill and the fifth photo is a view of West Hill from the same track. The sixth photo is a view of Old Fawdon Hill from the path leading to Great Ryle.
